A friend brought me a bottle home from Mexico about 15 years ago! Since then, I’ve had several friends “bootleg” Los Cinco Soles back to me when they venture south of the border. I save it for my presentation recipes…it is the best! I have just ordered a bottle on-line…no more pestering my vacationing friends!

I agree with the comments about the Cinco Soles vanilla. Watch the other stuff as they may contain coumarin which is banned from food products sold in the US.

You are so right about the Cinco Soles vanilla. I bought a tiny bottle while in Cozumel, and ever since running out of it last winter, I’ve not been able to forget the delicious, almost floral scent of it. I’ve been thinking of it constantly and finally found your info & link. Thank you for sharing. I’ve been baking for over 25 years and no other vanilla compares.
